クリーニング屋『#5_ミセス・ティギーウィンクルのおはなし』

あらすじ

　ルーシーは丘の中腹でクリーニング屋のミセスティギーウィンクルと出会った。ルーシーはミセスティギーウィンクルにも自分のハンカチを見ていないか尋ねてみた。

"Who are you?" said Lucie. "Have you seen my pocket-handkins?"

　ルーシーが言いました。「あなたは誰ですか？私のポケットハンドキンを見ていませんか？」

The little person made a bob-curtsey—"Oh, yes, if you please'm; my name is Mrs. Tiggy-winkle; oh, yes if you please'm, I'm an excellent clear-starcher!"

　質問を受けた小柄な人物はひょいとお辞儀しました。
「はい、いらっしゃいませ。私の名前はミセスティギーウィンクルです。私は優秀なクリーニング屋です！」

And she took something out of a clothes-basket, and spread it on the ironing-blanket.

　それから彼女は洗濯籠から何かを取り出して、アイロン台の上にそれを広げました。

"What's that thing?" said Lucie—"that's not my pocket-handkin?"

"Oh no, if you please'm; that's a little scarlet waist-coat belonging to Cock Robin!"

And she ironed it and folded it, and put it on one side.
