魔法使いのフリ『#163_The Wonderful Wizard of Oz』

あらすじ

　オズはブリキの木こりに対して、ハートが無い方が幸せだと伝えた。しかし、不幸になってもハートがほしいと木こりが答えたので、オズは明日木こりにハートをあげる約束をした。

オズの魔法使い（対訳）

“How about my heart?” asked the Tin Woodman.

「私のハートは？」ブリキの木こりが尋ねました。

“Why, as for that,” answered Oz, “I think you are wrong to want a heart.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

「その事ですが、あなたがハートを望むのは間違っていると思います」

It makes most people unhappy.

The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

「ハートは多くの人々を不幸にします」

If you only knew it, you are in luck not to have a heart.”

「それを知ってさえいれば、ハートが無くて、あなたは幸せです」

“That must be a matter of opinion,” said the Tin Woodman.

「それは見解の相違です」ブリキの木こりが言いました。

“For my part, I will bear all the unhappiness without a murmur, if you will give me the heart.”

「私としては、不満を言わずに全ての不幸を受け入れます。あなたが私にハートをくださるなら」

“Very well,” answered Oz meekly.

「わかりました」オズが素直に答えました。

“Come to me tomorrow and you shall have a heart.

「明日来てくだされば、あなたはハートが手に入ります」

I have played Wizard for so many years that I may as well continue the part a little longer.”
