あらすじ

　一晩の宿を求めて、ドロシーたちはある家を訪れた。住人の女性はライオンを恐れたが、彼らを家に招いてくれた。

"We wish to pass the night with you, if you will allow us," answered Dorothy; "and the Lion is my friend and comrade, and would not hurt you for the world."

「許されるなら、今晩あなたと一緒に夜を過ごさせてください」ドロシーが答えました。

"Is he tame?" asked the woman, opening the door a little wider.
