あらすじ

　教会墓地にいたことを怒られている最中、ピップが火を見ると、その火の中に教会墓地での恐ろしい出来事が浮かんだ。

“Churchyard!” repeated my sister.

「教会墓地だって！」姉が繰り返しました。

“If it warn’t for me you’d have been to the churchyard long ago, and stayed there. Who brought you up by hand?”

「もし私がいなければ、お前はとっくに教会墓地の世話になっていたでしょう。誰があなたを育てたと思っているのです？」

“You did,” said I.

“And why did I do it, I should like to know?” exclaimed my sister.
