あらすじ
料理屋の店主は私を誤解したようだった。庶民の服を着て悪ふざけをする裕福な人間なのだと。だから、百万ポンド紙幣しか持っていないと言っても、ツケで好きなだけ食べて良いと言った。
私は料理店を出ると、その紙幣を渡した紳士の屋敷へと向かった。不安を感じながら。
