あらすじ
世界の主要都市の新聞を手に取れば、百万ポンドを持ち歩く人物の記事が載っていた。新聞を見るたびに、その記事の扱いは大きくなり、一般人としてはトップの扱いになった。しかし、記事の内容は否定的で、私の悪名を広める助けにしかならなかった。
その流れが変わったのは、風刺漫画雑誌に掲載されたときだ。私はそこでようやく否定的な目で見られることがなくなった。しかし代わりに、人々の好奇な視線を集めることとなった。
