あらすじ
私は借金を返す当てがあった。老紳士の賭けに勝てさえすれば、職に就くことができるからだ。さらに用心深くも、返せる見込みがある金額しか借金していなかった。
現時点で、借金は給料１年分ほどであると私は見込んでいた。そして２年目の給料を使えば、老紳士が帰ってくるまでの期間をしのぐことができると考えていた。
